  1. This process is always such an encouragement to me! It's exciting to look back over the year and see how the kids have learned and grown, since it's hard to see the incremental change happening day by day. Thank you for the opportunity to win!

  2. Topics I would love to read: High School at Home. Transitioning to college. How to fit in foreign language.
I would also enjoy if you shared a series of posts with samples of 'showing progress' in each subject for different ages (elementary, jr high, high school).

  3. Becky has always been amazing to work with in doing our year end assessments! I think we've done 5 years now? My favorite part is that I can do it completely through email and don't have to take time to actually meet someone. As nice as Becky is to work with, it's just one less thing that I have to worry about working around. 😊

    1. It is really just a celebration of what you have completed over the year. It is good to look back and celebrate. I am always surprised at how much we accomplish. Thanks for commenting.

    2. This celebration attitude is what has made all the difference for me! I was terrified of the first assessment after schooling independently for 8 years. I felt like I was being judged and needed approval to continue. In the process of the first assessment, I came to understand Becky's point of view: celebrating what we've learned, though generally it's not something scholastic that ends up being the most valuable.

    1. Where did you home educate before Ohio? Ohio is different with the assessment piece, but it is not really that hard. You will do great.
      Thanks for commenting.
