What's in a Dumpling, Grandma? by Sandra Eide and illustrated by Linda Meeker

What’s in a Dumpling, Grandma is a gorgeous picture book by Linda Meeker and illustrated by Sandra Eide.  In our story Grey and Mila ask their grandmother to how to make dumplings.  The story shares how to make dumplings and takes the reader step by step through the process with a recipe for fish sauce at the end.

What’s in a Dumpling, Grandma is beautifully illustrated.  The pictures draw you into the story and you can not help, but smile as you read the book.  I loved the sweet relationship between the children and their grandmother.  Though the story shares about making dumplings, but it is truly so much more.   It shares themes of family, love, and celebrating traditions.

What’s in a Dumpling, Grandma is a charming story with beautiful illustrations, relatable themes, and celebrates family.  I highly recommend.

I was given a complimentary copy and not required to write a review
