My Review

The Cautious Maiden by Dawn Crandall

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Cautious Maiden by Dawn Crandall is the fourth book in the Everstone Chronicles. It is a standalone novel, but would be much more enjoyable if you have read the other three in the series. Violet Hawthorne is our heroine in this novel. She is forced into a proposal with the notorious Vance Everstone. After reading the other three books in the series I came in not prepared to really like Vance, and was not sure what to think of him. But, through the heart felt writing of Mrs. Crandall I enjoyed seeing the transformation in Vance that only Christ can bring. By the end I was cheering for Vance. I was thankful for our God who redeems and loves the broken souls which includes me.
The Cautious Maiden is well written and a page turner. I was guessing till the end of the novel. Great romance, adventure and insight into the love of God. I highly recommend it!
I was given this book from the publisher.
